Training for Industry
You are not required to complete a training course to use this tool. However, if you regularly prepare complex assessments it is recommended that you undertake a BESS training course. There are two options:
BESS Domestic (Half day. 3 hrs plus 1 hr exam. Cost = $330 inc GST. Register below). This training session covers single residential and townhouse developments up to 10 dwellings. It includes a case study featuring a three-townhouse development application.
BESS Advanced (Full day. 5.5-6 hrs plus 1 hr exam. Cost = $660 inc GST. Register below): This training session covers everything in the BESS Domestic package plus non-residential, mixed use and larger residential developments. It includes case studies of a non-residential development and a mixed use multi-residential development.
New training sessions will be posted early 2018.
Book a Place in BESS
Further BESS training sessions will be run based on demand. Dates will be set following registrations of interest from a sufficient number of trainees. Email firstname.lastname@example.org to register your interest. The CASBE Executive Officer, the BESS Manager or the CASBE Planning Officer will respond on the next Monday or Wednesday, whichever is sooner, with a likely timeframe to further BESS training sessions.
BESS Trained Professionals
ESD professionals who have successfully completed the BESS Advanced training can be listed on the 'BESS-trained professionals' page to allow planning applicants to identify professionals who have undertaken training. Following successful completion of training, you will be contacted with details on how this occurs.
Contact CASBE with any queries related to BESS training at email@example.com. The CASBE Executive Officer, the BESS Manager or the CASBE Planning Officer will respond on the next Monday or Wednesday, whichever is sooner.
Organica Engineering is CASBE's BESS Training partner.
